Four NCC Institutions To Move To Northern Sun

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced this afternoon that four current North Central Conference members, Augustana, Minnesota State, Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State, will begin play in the NSIC beginning in the 2008-09 school year.

"These four institutions are excellent schools and have had great success in the North Central Conference," said NCC commissioner Roger Thomas. "We believe that they will bring excellent academic and athletic tradition to the Northern Sun."

The North Central Conference, a NCAA Division II conference, is comprised of Augustana College, University of Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State University, Mankato, University of Nebraska-Omaha, University of North Dakota, St. Cloud State University and University of South Dakota.
