Augustana benefited from a strong fall season to lead the standings for the North Central Conference Cup after the fall season. The Vikings won two conference championships, finished second once and had two thirds (one tied) in the fall season to edge second-place Minnesota State by a 1/2-point margin.

Augustana holds a 3.5-point lead in the Women's All-Sports Trophy standings with 21.5 points. The Vikings won the women's cross country and golf championships, finished tied for third in volleyball and fourth in golf during the fall season. Nebraska-Omaha, the three-time reigning Women's All-Sports Trophy winner, is second in the standings with 18 points while Minnesota State is close behind with a tally of 17.5 points. Minnesota State won the soccer championship. Minnesota Duluth, in fourth place with 16 points, claimed the remaining fall championship (volleyball).

Minnesota State won the cross country title and finished second in golf and tied for fifth in football on the men's side to lead the Men's All-Sports Trophy standings by 3 1/2-point margin over a three-way tie of Augustana, North Dakota and South Dakota. None of the second place teams claimed an NCC title in the fall, but Augustana had a second-place (cross country) and third-place (golf) finish while North Dakota placed second in football and South Dakota had fourth-place finishes in each of the fall championships. St. Cloud State claimed the men's golf title while Nebraska-Omaha hoisted the trophy as football champions.

This season marks the fifth time that The North Central Conference Cup is being awarded. The recipient of the Cup is determined by adding together the points received in the Men's and Women's All-Sports Trophy standings. Complete standings can be found in the PDF version of this release.
