Player of the Week - Bryan Frew

Bryan Frew of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the North Central Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

Frew, a senior from Grand Island, Neb., hit .652 (15-23) in five games in Missouri and Florida. He collected three homeruns, 12 RBI and a triple while scoring seven runs.

Frew had a standout game against Felician where he went 5 for 6 with two homeruns, six RBI and four runs scored.

Others nominated: Travis Taran, Minnesota State.

Pitchers of the Week - Chris Kessinger & Cody Hallahan

Chris Kessinger of Nebraska-Omaha and Cody Hallahan of Minnesota State have been named the North Central Conference Baseball Pitchers of the Week.

Kessinger, a junior from Sioux Falls, S.D., pitched a complete seven-inning, four-hit game against East Stroudsburg. He struck out 11 batters while only yielding two walks and one earned run.

Hallahan, a freshman from Glencoe, Minn., pitched 9 1/3 innings last week in two appearances. He entered the game in relief against SIU-Edwardsville and then collected his first collegiate win in his first start against Dana.

For the week Hallahan struck out 12 batters with two walks and five hits. He allowed no earned runs in the two contests.
