Players of the Week - Dustin Koca & David Olson

Dustin Koca of Nebraska-Omaha and David Olson of Minnesota Duluth have been named the North Central Conference Baseball Players of the Week.

Koca, a senior pitcher/centerfielder from Papillion, Neb., hit .545 (6-11) in four Florida games. He collected one homerun, one double, three walks and three RBI while scoring three runs.

Olson, a junior third baseman from Lakeville, Minn., hit .500 (7-14) to help lead Minnesota Duluth to a 4-0 mark last week. Olson had four doubles, one walk and three RBI while scoring four runs.

Others nominated: Nate Johnson, St. Cloud State.

Pitcher of the Week - Josh Threlkeld

Josh Threlkeld of Minnesota Duluth has been named the North Central Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Threlkeld, a freshman from Burnsville, Minn., made the most of his first collegiate start. He pitched a complete, seven-inning game in a 1-0 win over Nebraska-Omaha to complete a two-game sweep in Florida. He allowed only two hits while striking out one and walking two batters.

Going into the doubleheader, UMD was 1-13 all-time against UNO.
