Four Three-Time Selections Highlight Academic Football Team

Thirty-one student-athletes have been named to the 2007-2008 Academic All-North Central Conference football team selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors. North Dakota placed eight members on the team while Minnesota Duluth had five representatives on the list.

Highlighting the team are nine student-athletes making a repeat appearance on the select squad, five for the second time and four for the third time. The four three-time selectees are Ben Hochstein of Nebraska-Omaha, Weston Dressler of North Dakota, Ted Schlafke of Minnesota Duluth and Spencer Dickinson of Minnesota State. The student-athletes making their second appearance are Mitch Braegelmann of North Dakota, Johnny Spevak and Mike Reilly of Central Washington and Aaron LaPointe & Ryan Kees of St. Cloud State. Minnesota State's Spencer Dickinson and North Dakota's Andrew Miller are the lone team members to have aperfect 4.00 grade point averages, but five other members of the team have GPAs above 3.90.

The select group has a combined grade point average of 3.71.
