Offensive - Brian McNeill & Danny Freund

Brian McNeill of Nebraska-Omaha and Danny Freund of North Dakota have been named the NCC Offensive Players of the Week.

McNeill, a junior from Philadelphia, Pa., rushed 19 times for 166 yards (8.7 ypc) and scored two touchdowns as UNO clinched a share of the NCC title with a 41-14 win over South Dakota. McNeill shared the running back chores with Nate Wurth in the game.

Freund, a junior quarterback from Kenosha, Wis., completed 22 of 30 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns against St. Cloud State. He also rushed for two touchdowns despite having negative rushing yards.

Defense - Randy Kush

Randy Kush of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the NCC Defensive Player of the Week.

Kush, a senior safety from Gretna, Neb., totaled 16 tackles (8 solo, 8 assist) in spearheading a UNO defensive effort that kept South Dakota to under 100 yards rushing as a team for the first time this season.

Also nominated: Buddy Wood, Central Washington; Jason Donnelly, Augustana; Bobby Stroup, North Dakota; Tyler Bergan, South Dakota; Chris Brunkhorst, Minnesota State.

Special Teams - Curtis Dublanko

Curtis Dublanko of North Dakota has been named the NCC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Dublanko, a freshman linebacker from Thornby, Alberta, recovered an errant snap on a SCSU punt attempt and return it five yards for a touchdown, the first score of his young career.
