Augustana, Nebraska-Omaha Places Pair on All-NCC First Team
Sioux Falls, S.D. -- Augustana and North Dakota placed two golfers each on first team of the All-North Central Conference Women's Golf Team that was announced today by the conference office. In addition, Nebraska-Omaha coach Tim Nelson was recognized as the league's women's golf Coach of the Year for the third time in his career. The awards are based on performances at the NCC Championships.
Nebraska-Omaha won the 2006 North Central Conference Championship on October 9 with an five-stroke victory over Augustana. Augustana's Courtney Belanger defeated Nebraska-Omaha's Lindsay Newton on the first playoff hole to claim the individual title.
