NCC Tournament Reshuffled

NCC Commissioner Roger Thomas as announced that because of weather issues the North Central Conference Basketball Tournaments format, times and sites have been reshuffled. The decision was made in consultation with participating athletic directors and coaches.

"In the best interest of getting the tournament going we were forced to look at a number of scenarios," said Thomas. "In the end it made the most sense to hold the semifinal rounds at the highest remaining seed. The final round will be held Sunday evening at sites to be determined, mostly likely in Grand Forks and Vermillion as was previously scheduled. It is stressed that all times will be tenative based on team travel on Saturday."

The quarterfinal round of the tournament was held Wednesday night and set the field for the semifinal and final rounds Saturday and Sunday. The complete revised schedule is below.

Fans are encouraged to monitor www.northcentralconference.org and their local media for any further updates.

The winner of the NCC Basketball Tournaments will receive the NCC's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Basketball Championship.
