Player of the Week - Atila Santos

Atila Santos of Minnesota State has been named the North Central Conference Player of the Week.

Santos, a senior center from Salvador, Brazil, recorded a rare 20-point, 20-rebound performance against Minnesota Duluth when he finished with 26 points and 21 rebounds. The 26 points is a career-high while the 21 rebounds is a new school record. He is one of only six players in NCAA Division II competition to reach the plateau this season.

For the week Santos averaged 23 points and 17 rebounds while blocking three shots per game. He shot 53.3% (16-30) from the field and 63.6% (14-22) from the free throw line.

Santos averaged 19.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in the two games in which he posted a double-double in each. He shot 57.7% (15-26) from the field and 75.0% (9-12) from the free throw line.
