Players of the Week - Mitch Begeman, Ervin Youmans & Michael Jenkins

Mitch Begeman of South Dakota, Ervin Youmans of North Dakota and Michael Jenkins of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the North Central Conference Players of the Week.

Begeman, a junior guard from Sioux Falls, S.D., had the game of his life coming off the bench to score 21 points and pull down 14 rebounds in USD's win over Dana. He also added five assists and four steals while shooting 57.1% (8x14) from the field and 55.6% (5x9) from three-point range. His final total in points, rebounds, assists, steals, field goals made and three-point field goals made were all career-highs.

Youmans, a senior guard from Hobbs, N.M., shot 70.8% (17x24) from field in games against Adams State and Colorado-Colorado Springs. He hit 5 of 9 three-pointers and all seven of his free throws to average 23 points per game. He added two rebounds, three assists and a steal per game.

Jenkins, a junior guard from Bellevue, Neb., averaged 30.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 56.7% (17x30) from the field, including 5 of 11 from three-point range. He also hit 95.7% from the free throw line, missing only one of his 23 attempts.
