AC, MSU, UNO and USD Selected to NCAA Championship Field

Augustana, Minnesota State, Nebraska-Omaha and South Dakota were selected to the the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship. Winona State, by virtue of being the #1 seed, will host the North Central region tournament beginning Saturday in Winona, Minnesota.

Minnesota State received the third seed while Nebraska-Omaha is the fifth-seeded team in the tournament. Augustana received the sixth seed and South Dakota is the seventh seed. Nebraska-Omaha claimed the North Central Conference Basketball Tournament title this afternoon with a 78-69 win over North Dakota. Minnesota State, the NCC regular-season champion, and Augustana, which finished second in the NCC regular season standings, advanced to the NCC Tournament semifinals.

The winner of the North Central Region will face the winner of the Great Lakes Region in the first round of the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass. on Wednesday, March 26.
