Player of the Week - Nicole Puerling, North Dakota

Nicole Puerling of North Dakota has been named the North Central Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Puerling, a sophomore from Camarillo, Calif., hit .542 (13x24) through the first three days of action in Florida in which UND tallied a 4-4 record. She tallied four triples and one double while knocking in seven RBI.

Also nominated: Ashley Homan, St. Cloud State; Christina Stangl, St. Cloud State; Abby Wagner, Minnesota State.

Pitcher of the Week - Lacey Trossbach, St. Cloud State

Lacey Trossbach of St. Cloud State has been named the North Central Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Trossbach, a senior from St. Inigoes, Maryland, threw 36 2/3 innings during the Huskies weeklong trek to Florida. She accumulated a 5-1 while yielding eight runs and 25 hits while striking out 45 batters.
