Players of the Week - Lynndi Decker & Abby Poulter

Lynndi Decker of Minnesota State and Abby Poulter of South Dakota have been named the North Central Conference Softball Players of the Week.

Decker, a junior outfielder from Des Moines, Iowa, hit .475 (19x40) in 10 games in Florida. She tallied seven runs, five RBI with one double, one triple and four stolen bases.

Poulter, a junior from Colfax, Iowa, hit .643 (9x14) in six games. She collected 10 runs and four RBI while hitting two homeruns and notching three stolen bases and three walks.

Pitchers of the Week - Tiffany Mockenhaupt & Cheris Kuster

TIffany Mockenhaupt of South Dakota and Cheris Kuster of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the North Central Conference Softball Pitchers of the Week.

Mockenhaupt, a freshman from Lincoln, Neb., made her collegiate pitching debut. In 8 2/3 innings of relief work she struck out 10 batters while giving up only two hits to collect two wins. The first six batters she retired against Dakota State were by strikeout.

Kuster, a senior from Roca, Neb., threw 35 2/3 innings of work over six games in Florida and ended with a 3-2 mark. She tallied 35 strikeouts and only five walks while giving up 27 hits. She had an ERA of 0.59 with only three earned runs. Against East Stroundsburg she had 10 strikeouts.
