Player of the Week - Jenifer McDowell

Jenifer McDowell of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the North Central Conference Softball Player of the Week.

McDowell, a junior from Rio Rancho, N.M., hit .545 (12x22) in six games last week, including four NCC contests. She collected two games where she batted 1.000 and hit three homeruns and had eight RBI against Augustana despite only tallying one homerun for the season prior to that at-bat.

For the week she had 14 RBI, four homeruns and one double while scoring five runs and striking out only once.

Pitcher of the Week - Samantha Rohr

Samantha Rohr of Minnesota State has been named the North Central Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Rohr, a junior from Lakeville, Minn., had a decision in each MSU game last week posting a 6-1 record. She worked 34 2/3 of MSU's 50 2/3 innings, striking out 45 batters while allowing only six walks, 26 hits and nine earned runs (1.82 ERA).
