Players of the Week - Leslie Svoboda & Alli Hubers

Leslie Svoboda of Nebraska-Omaha and Alli Hubers of Augustana have been named the North Central Conference Softball Players of the Week.

Svoboda, a senior infielder from Lincoln, Neb., hit .536 (15-28) in eight games in Florida. She tallied 13 RBI, seven runs, four doubles, two triples, three stolen bases and two walks. Svoboda had hits in all eight games and tallied multiple hits in each of her last five games.

Hubers, a senior from Pipestone, Minn., hit .500 (13-26) in eight Florida games. She collected 10 RBI, six runs, five walks, three doubles and two homeruns. She had a least one hit in each of the eight games to power Augie to a seven-game winning streak.

Pitcher of the Week - Kaity Strever

Kaity Strever of St. Cloud State and Heather Stemper of Minnesota Duluth have been named the North Central Conference Softball Pitchers of the Week.

Strever, a sophomore from Laurel, Mont., allowed no earned runs while picking up two wins and a save in 13 innings of work over three games. She struck out 14 batters while allowing only nine hits.

Stemper, a freshman from Burnsville, Minn., allowed no earned runs in 12 innings of Florida action with 2 wins and a save. She allowed nine hits while striking out nine batters.
