Player of the Week - Casie Hanson

Casie Hanson of North Dakota has been named the North Central Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Hanson, a junior from St. Peter, Minn., hit .857 (12-14) in four games last week. She collected two homeruns, two triples, three stolen bases, a double and scored 12 runs while knocking in eight RBI. She batted 1.000 in three of the games while going 2 for 4 in the fourth game.

Pitchers of the Week - Kaity Strever & Samantha Rohr

Kaity Strever of St. Cloud State and Samantha Rohr of Minnesota State have been named the North Central Conference Softball Pitchers of the Week.

Strever, a sophomore from Laurel, Mont., pitched SCSU to upset of #7 Southwest Minnesota State, and gave Mustangs their first loss after 11 straight wins. She threw her 10th complete game allowing just five hits including only one over the last three innings after SMSU has closed the gap to one run. With a 20-5 record becomes the first SCSU pitcher to win 20 games since 2004.

Rohr, a senior from Lakeville, Minn., struck out 11 batters in a complete game win over South Dakota. She allowed only five singles and two earned runs in the game.
