Baer, Wahle and Duffy Earn Swimming & Diving Honors

Ashley Baer and Marty Wahle of Minnesota State have been named the NCC Swimmers of the Week while Janel Duffy of Minnesota State has been tabbed as the NCC Diver of the Week.

Baer, a junior from Eden Prairie, Minn., won the 50 freestyle (:25.34) and 100 freestyle (:54.36) at the Gustavus Adolphus Invite. She also helped MSU relay teams win the 200 medley relay (1:51.13) and 200 freestyle relay (1:40.78) at the same meet.

Wahle, a junior from Fort Collins, Colo., won the 100 individual medley (1:00.29) and 400 individual medley (4:14.77) while finishing fourth in the 100 freestyle (:48.79) at the Gustavus Adolphus Invite. He was also a member of the winning MSU relay teams in the 200 medley relay (1:36.88).

Duffy, a freshman from Forest Lake, Minn., won the one- and three-meter dives with scores of 407.65 and 410.65, respectively, at the Gustavus Adolphus Invite.
