Hoese, Dilling and Rains Named Track & Field Athletes of the Week

Jenny Hoese of Minnesota State has been named the North Central Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week while Katelin Rains and Jim Dilling of Minnesota State have been named the North Central Conference Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week.

Hoese, a freshman from Watertown, Minn., placed third in the 3000-meter run at the Auburn Springtime Invitational with a 10:21.70 clocking. The time was just 6.7 seconds off a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.

Rains, a sophomore from Spring Lake Park, Minn., cleared 12-9 1/2 (3.90m) at the Auburn Springtime Invitational to win the pole vault. The mark set a new facility record and automatically qualified her for the NCAA Division II Championships.

Dilling, a senior from Fond du Lac, Wis., cleared 7-4 1/2 (2.25m) at the Auburn Springtime Invitational to win the high jump. The mark was not only a NCAA Division II automatic qualifying mark, but it broke his own school record and set a new facility record.
