Offense - Ellen Thommes

Ellen Thommes of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the Offensive Player of the Week by the North Central Conference.

Thommes, a freshman middle blocker from Omaha, Neb., hit .458 (27k-5e-48ta) while averaging 4.50 kills and .50 services aces per game against Augustana and St. Cloud State.

Others nominated: Cassie Wolpern, Minnesota State; Terrin Post, Augustana; Vicky Braegelmann, Minnesota Duluth; Ashley Gross, South Dakota.

Defense - Stacie Wemhoff

Stacie Wemhoff of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the Defensive Player of the Week by the North Central Conference.

Wemhoff, a senior libero from Humphrey, Neb., averaged 6.67 digs per game in wins over Augustana and St. Cloud State that moved the Mavericks into a second-place tie in the league standings.

Others nominated: Chelsea Meierotto, Minnesota Duluth; Dana Ostertag, Minnesota State; Amber Kobus, South Dakota; Andrea Oswald, Augustana.

Setter - Katie Agnew

Katie Agnew of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the Setter of the Week by the North Central Conference.

Agnew, a junior from Omaha, Neb., averaged 15.83 assists and 1.17 kills per game as the Mavericks downed Augustana and St. Cloud State to tie for second place in the league standings.
