Four NCC Teams Qualify for NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship

Minnesota Duluth, Nebraska-Omaha, Augustana and Minnesota State have received berths in the 64-team NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship announced tonight by the NCAA. The tournament will begin with play at the North Central Region tournament to be held Thursday-Saturday at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minn., hosted by Concordia-St. Paul. Minnesota Duluth is the #2 seed, Nebraska-Omaha is the #3 seed, Augustana is the #6 seed and Minnesota State is the #7 seed.

Minnesota Duluth, the three-time NCC champion, advanced to the region finals last season before falling to the host Golden Bears of Concordia-St. Paul. The two teams have split matches this season. Augustana and Nebraska-Omaha finished tied for second in this year's NCC standings while Minnesota State was tied for fourth.

  Game times are not finalized, but are expected to be Noon, 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday; 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday.
