Players of the Week - Erika Quigley & Karen Thies
Erika Quigley of St. Cloud State and Karen Thies of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the NCC Players of the Week.
Quigley, a senior post from Duluth, Minn., averaged 22.7 points, 15.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 4.0 blocked shots per game in games against Concordia-St. Paul, Metro State and Regis. Her scoring output equated to 35 percent of the teams scoring.
She shot .446 (25-56) from the field and .750 (18x24) from the free throw line in posting three double-doubles, including a 36 point, 18 rebound effort against Metro State.
Thies, a senior guard from Durango, Colo., shot .593 (16x27) from three-point range and .500 (23-46) from the field while averaging 22.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game in contests against Nebraska-Kearney, Adams State and Hawaii-Hilo.
