St. Cloud St.'s Quigley Named Women's Division II Bulletin Preseason Player of the Year
Beaverton, Ore. -- St. Cloud State University senior center
Erika Quigley has been named the 2006 Women¹s Division II
Bulletin Preseason Player of the Year.
Quigley, a first-team All-American last year and the North Central
Conference Player of the Year, averaged 22.2 points and 12.6
rebounds per game while leading the Huskies to the Elite Eight.
"As the lone junior on our first team All-American squad last
season, Erika was a natural selection as the top returning player
in the country," said WDIIB Publisher Gary Rubin. "She is a force
on both ends of the court and is expected to have a terrific
season."
The complete 2006-07 All-American team is listed in the Women's
Division II Bulletin Preseason Preview, which was released on Oct.
12, 2006. The special issue contains complete previews for each
conference, a Preseason Player of the Year and a Preseason
All-American team.
