Player of the Week - Jeana Hoffman

Jeana Hoffman of South Dakota has been named the NCC Player of the Week.

Hoffman, a senior guard from Mitchell, S.D., averaged 26.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists and was named to the Hyatt Place Mountain Lion Classic All-Tournament Team.

She averaged 56.7% (17x30) from the field, including a 8 of 15 tally (53.3%) from three-point territory for the week.

In a 83-79 loss to Adams State Friday, Hoffman scored a career-best 31 points by hitting 9-of-18 field goals (50 percent) and 5-of-10 (50 percent) from three-point range. She also made 8-of-9 free throws while grabbing two rebounds, dishing out four assists and recording two steals.

Hoffman scored 21 points in leading USD to an 82-66 win over Colorado-Colorado Springs Saturday. She hit 8-of-12 field goals for 66.7 percent, including 3-of-5 from three-point range for 60 percent. Hoffman was also 2-of-2 from the foul line while grabbing four rebounds, and handing out two assists.
