Todd Meneely Named NCC Wrestler of the Week
Todd Meneely of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the NCC Wrestler of the Week.
Meneely, a sophomore from Omaha, Neb., posted a 4-0 mark to win the 149-pound class at the Dana Open.
He opened the tournament with a 20-8 win over Nebraska's Derek Moyer and pinned Thomas Konechne of Dakota Wesleyan in 2:54. In the semifinals Meneely defeated Dane Espinosa of Missouri, 4-3, before avenging one of his two losses on the season and capturing the tournament crown with a 5-3 overtime win over Jeff Keske of Iowa Central.
