Brent Pankoke of Nebraska-Omaha and Tim Matheson of Minnesota State have been named the NCC Wrestlers of the Week.

Pankoke, a sophomore from Beaver Crossing, Neb., improved to 20-3 on the season by downing a pair of ranked opponents. On Friday night he defeated Robbie Gotreau of Augsburg, 5-3, before pinning Brad Padgett of St. Cloud State at the 2:33 mark. Gotreau is ranked #8 in NCAA Division III competition while Padgett is ranked #7 in NCAA Division II.

Matheson, a junior from Circle Pines, Minn., had a trio of wins as the Mavericks swept three opponents by a combined score of 130-4 at the Central Missouri Duals. He started by posting a 19-3 techinical fall over Daniel Midgett of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at the 6:42 mark, then had a 9-1 major decision over Corey Van Groll of Wisconsin-Parkside before finishing the tournament off with a pin of Travis Barbarick of Central Missouri at the 5:10 mark. Van Groll is ranked #4 in NCAA Division II.
