Brady Wilson and Sim Bribieseca Named NCC Wrestlers of the Week

Brady Wilson of Minnesota State and Sim Bribieseca of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the NCC Wrestlers of the Week.

Wilson, a sophomore heavyweight from Faribault, Minn., posted a 6-0 mark last week. He started this week with a pin of Jared Little of Northern State (:48) in dual action. He then claimed the Husky Open with a 5-0 mark. He opened the tourney with a pin of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's John Berlin in 34 seconds then posted a 21-6 technical fall over Nick Nadeau of Concordia (Moorhead). Third-round action saw him pin Anthony Lowe in 3:53 before blanking Tyler Hemmesch, 6-0. In the championship Wilson posted a 5-2 win over unattached Jason Strippling.

Bribieseca, a sophomore 141-pounder from Boys Town, Neb., captured the Nebraska-Kearney Open with a 4-0 mark. He beat Dan Rowe of Dana 26-9 and Jeff Fallom of Hastings 8-4 in the opening rounds. In the semifinals he bested Adam Keiswetter, a former All-American, 5-3, before taking home the crown with a 3-2 win over Jeff Rutledge, currently ranked #4 in NCAA II. Bribeseca is currently ranked #6 in NCAA Division II.
