Augustana's Seidel Hightlights Nine Repeaters On Academic All-NCC Soccer Team
Twenty-six student-athletes, highlighed by three-time selection Erin Seidel of Augustana, have been selected to the 2006-2007 Academic All-North Central Conference Soccer Team by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
Seidel becomes the second Augustana player to be at honored at least three times on the Academic All-NCC Soccer team in her career. The other Augustana student-athlete to reach the honor was Katie Hoffman who was named to the select squad four times (2000-03). Eight other student-athletes are making their second showing on the team with this year's election.
Nebraska-Omaha leads the way with six student-athletes on the squad while Augustana has five student-athletes.
The select group has a combined grade point average of 3.69 with one student-athlete, Betsy Blackler of South Dakota, holding a 4.00 grade point average and Danielle McCawley of Nebraska-Omaha having a 3.995 GPA.
