Soccer Release: October 17, 2006
Offense - Carly Petersen & Lauren Herrmann

Carly Petersen of Minnesota State and Lauren Herrmann of North Dakota have been named the North Central Conference Offensive Players of the Week.

Petersen, a sophomore forward from Verona, Wis., scored the game-winning goal and had an assist against South Dakota. She also scored the lone MSU goal in a 1-1 tie against Nebraska-Omaha. She charted a total of five shots for the week.

Herrmann, a freshman forward from Eagan, Minn., scored two goals and added one assist in UND's 3-0 win over Augustana. For the week she tallied nine goals.

Others nominated: Amber Richardson, Nebraska-Omaha; Trista Cooke, St. Cloud State; Brooke Youds, South Dakota.

Defense - Jennie Dehamer

Jennie Dehamer of Minnesota State has been named the North Central Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Dehamer, a senior goalkeeper from Neenah, Wis., made 14 saves while only allowing one goal in each of the games against South Dakota and Nebraska-Omaha.

Others nominated: Savannah Swanson, St. Cloud State.
