Augustana women, Minnesota State men Claim NCC Cross Country Championships

The Augustana women and Minnesota State men claimed the 2007 NCC Cross Country Championships on a very wet Pine Hill Golf Course in Carlton, Minn. Augustana's Rachel Stangler and Minnesota State's Denise Moyaka claimed the individual titles.

Augustana placed all five scorers in the top 12 in dominating second-place North Dakota, who had only a one-point margin over third-place South Dakota. There was also only a one-point margin between fourth place and fifth place in the women's race.

Minnesota State men placed all five scoring runners in the top 10 and had three of the top four finishers, including Moyaka in first place and James Krajsa in second. Minnesota State had a 62-24 point margin over second place Augustana.
