Player of the Week - Kosuke Hattori
Kosuke Hattori of Minnesota State has been named the North Central Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
Hattori, a sophomore thirdbaseman from Kanagwa, Japan, hit .500 (7 X 14) in four games last week as Minnesota State went 4-0 and won three consecutive games at the 2007 NCC Championship tournament to claim the league title.
Hattori stole four bases, had one double and five RBI for the week. He walked twice and was hit by pitch twice and had a .611 on base percentage.
Pitcher of the Week - Patrick Lenton
Patrick Lenton of Minnesota State has been named the North Central Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Lenton, a freshman right-hander from Maple
Grove, Minn., fanned ten batters and did not allow an earned run in
four innings over the course of two appearances last week. He gave
up only three hits and walked one.
