Offensive Player of the Week - Kyle Kasperbauer

Kyle Kasperbauer of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the NCC Offensive Player of the Week.

Kasperbauer, a senior from St. Paul, Neb., rushed 21 times for 195 yards and three touchdowns as UNO moved to 2-0 in league play with a win over Augustana. He averaged 9.3 yards per carry.

Others nominated: Stefan Logan, South Dakota; Ryan Chappell, North Dakota; Ryan Rothenberger, Augustana; James Monrean, Western Washington; Greg Aker, Minnesota Duluth.

Defensive Players of the Week - Bobby Stroup and Bobby Danenhauer

Bobby Stroup of North Dakota and Bobby Danenhauer of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the NCC Defensive Players of the Week.

Stroup, a freshman linebacker from Fargo, N.D., totaled eight tackles (7 solo, 1 assist), two sacks and forced a fumble in UND's win against Western Washington.

Danenhauer, a senior inside linebacker from Omaha, Neb., collected eight tackles (4 solo, 4 assist), a sack and one interception against Augustana.

Also nominated: Blake Hojer, South Dakota; Dustin Rice, Augustana; Todd McClellan, Western Washington.

Special Team Player of the Week - Brandon Hellevang

Brandon Hellevang of North Dakota has been named the NCC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Freshman kicker Brandon Hellevang, a native of Fargo, N.D., booted the first two field goals of his collegiate career, including the game-winning 31-yarder, in UND's 26-20 win over Western Washington on Saturday.

Hellevang, who nailed both of his attempts, put UND up to stay with a 31-yarder late in the third quarter to make it 23-20, then sealed the game with a 44-yard effort early in the fourth quarter.
