Offense - Ben King

Ben King of Minnesota State has been named the NCC Offensive Player of the Week.

King, a senior from Marshfield, Wis., a career day in MSU's win over South Dakota. He completed 40 of 63 passes for 505 yards and four touchdows. King set school records in passes completed, passes attempted and passing yards. He also established a new NCC record for attempts (63) in a game and was one completion short of tying a league record.

Others nominated: Weston Dressler, North Dakota; Mike Reilly, Central Washington; Travis Mlady, South Dakota; Craig Garner, Western Washington; Ryan Rothenberger, Augustana.

Defense - Jacob Chandler & Todd McClellan

Jacob Chandler of Nebraska-Omaha and Todd McClellan of Western Washington have been named the NCC Defensive Players of the Week.

Chandler, a sophomore outside linebacker from Ralston, Neb., returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown with UNO trailing 14-7 against St. Cloud State. UNO went on to edge the Huskies. Chandler finished with five tackles, including two for a loss of six yards.

McClellan, a senior defensive back from Lacey, Wash., had two interceptions for 34 yards in Western's win over Western Oregon. He also had eight tackles, including one for loss.

Also nominated: Rory Manke, North Dakota; Dan Ficcadenti, Minnesota State; Brandon Rolloff, Augustana; Tate Wheeler, St. Cloud State.
