Offense - Ben King, Stefan Logan & Ryan Chappell

Ben King of Minnesota State, Stefan Logan of South Dakota and Ryan Chappell of North Dakota have been named the NCC Offensive Players of the Week.

King, a senior from Marshfield, Wis., completed 34 of 46 passes for 433 yards and three touchdowns in MSU's wins over Central Washington.

Logan, a senior from Miami, Fla., rushed 24 times for 163 yards (6.8 ypc) and two touchdowns in USD's win over Nebraska-Omaha.

Chappell, a freshman from Grand Forks, N.D., rushed 23 times for 150 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime, as UND avoided being upset by St. Cloud State. It is the fourth-highest single-game rushing performance for a UND freshman.

Others nominated: Craig Garner, Western Washington; Jeremy Huber, Augustana.

Defense - Christopher Reid & Todd McClellan

Christopher Reid of South Dakota and Todd McClellan of Western Washington have been named the NCC Defensive Players of the Week.

Reid, a senior strong safety from Hills, Minn., had a interception with a 28 yards return and collected nine tackles (6 solo, 3 assist) as USD downed UNO for a share of the league lead.

McClellan, a senior defensive back from Lacey, Wash., had two interceptions in Western's win over Augustana. He also had seven tackles (5 solo, 2 assist).

Also nominated: Robbie Meek, North Dakota; Mitchell Denne, St. Cloud State.

Special Teams - Melvin Matlock

Melvin Matlock of Minnesota State has been named the NCC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Matlock, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., tied an NCC record by returning a kick 100 yards for a touchdown against Central Washington. He finished with four returns for 163 yards.
