Gusewelle, Berkeland and Eiden Earn Swimming & Diving Honors

Anne Gusewelle of Minnesota State Moorhead has been named the NCC Swimmer of the Week while Kelsey Berkeland and Ross Eiden of St. Cloud State have been honored as the NCC Divers of the Week.

Gusewelle, a freshman from Osakis, Minn., won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.44 in a dual with Northern Iowa.

Berkeland, a sophomore from Coon Rapids, Minn., qualified for nationals on both the one-meter and three-meter boards at Northern Michigan on Oct. 20-21, after tallying scores of 246.05 and 256.9 on the one-meter board and 257.15 and 242.05 on the three-meter board.

Eiden, a junior from Rosemount, Minn., tallied a first-place, national-qualifying score on the one meter board (279.20) against Wisconsin-Stevens Point, in the season-opening meet. Eiden completed the day with a first place finish on the three-meter board (255.80).
