Wollenhaupt named National Swimmer of the Week

North Dakota senior women's swimmer Sarah Wollenhaupt was named the National Swimmer of the week for Division II. Wollenhaupt, along with five other athletes around the NCAA, were selected based on their performances November 13-19 by a panel of collegiate coaches and nominated by coaches, sports information directors, conference representatives and CollegeSwimming.com staffers.

Wollenhaupt earned a pair of NCAA "B" but through her efforts in both the breaststroke events. Wollenhaupt took nineteenth place in the 100 breaststroke swimming to a "B" cut (1:06.20). On the final day she took eleventh place in the 200 breaststroke (2:23.93) claiming her second "B" cut of the weekend.

The Fighting Sioux women's team took ninth place out of twelve teams at the Minnesota Invite held at the University Aquatic Center. UND rounded out their success at the Minnesota Invite by tacking on another 10 national qualifying times.
