Leita Rolfe of South Dakota and Marty Wahle of Minnesota State have been named the NCC Swimmers of the Week while Jill Smolczyk and Brian Welch of Minnesota State have been honored as the NCC Divers of the Week.

Rolfe, a senior from Newcastle, Wyo., won the 400 individual medley (4:42.67) and 200 breaststroke (2:26.70) individually and was the part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.60) and 800 freestyle relay (8:03.99) at the Border Battle in Stevens Point, Wis. The Coyote team, with Rolfe, also placed second in 400 freestyle relay (3:43.66).

Wahle, a junior from Fort Collins, Colo., claimed individual titles in the 400 individual medley (4:20.98), the 100 backstroke (:53.40) and the 200 backstroke (1:56.29) at the Border Battle. In relays helped MSU to a first-place finish in the 200 medley (1:38.55) and second-place finishes in the 400 individual medley, and the 400 freestyle medley.

Smolczyk, a senior from Omaha, Neb., won both boards at the Border Battle. She won the one-meter with a score of 389.91 and the three-meter with a 450.65. Her score on the three-meter was nearly 100 points better than second-place finisher Hannah Roetzel of South Dakota.

Welch, a junior from Forest Lake, Minn., also won both events at the Border Battle. He posted scores of 348.70 on the three-meter and 382.05 on the one-meter board.
