Offense - Ellen Thommes & Ashley Nachreiner

Ellen Thommes of Nebraska-Omaha and Ashley Nachreiner of Minnesota State have been named the Offensive Players of the Week by the North Central Conference.

Thommes, a freshman middle blocker from Omaha, Neb., hit .514 (22k-3e-37ta) while averaging 3.67 kills and .33 services aces per game against Upper Iowa and South Dakota.

Nachreiner, a sophomore outside hitter from Round Rock, Texas, hit .444 (28k-4e-54ta) with an average of 4.00 kills and .29 service aces per game against Winona St. and North Dakota.

Defense - Andrea Oswald

Andrea Oswald of Augustana has been named the Defensive Player of the Week by the North Central Conference.

Oswald a senior middle blocker from Pilger, Neb., averaged 3.00 blocks and 1.33 digs per game despite playinig in only three of four games against Minnesota Duluth. She went down with an injury in the third game and did not play in the fourth game.

Setter - Stef Sandstrom

Stef Sandstrom of Minnesota State has been named the Setter of the Week by the North Central Conference.

Sandstrom, a junior from Andover, Minn., averaged 15.11 assists per game as Minnesota State downed Winona State and North Dakota. The team hit .262 in the matches.
