Players of the Week - Alison Adamson and Kierah Kimbrough
Alison Adamson of Augustana and Kierah Kimbrough of North Dakota have been named the NCC Players of the Week.
Adamson, a senior guard from Willmar, Minn., matched her season high by scoring 21 points in each game this week as Augustana notched NCC wins over Nebraska-Omaha and South Dakota.
Adamson averaged 21 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game, while shooting 53.3 percent (8x15) from 3-point range, and making all 6 of her free throw attempts.
Adamson scored all 21 of her points against UNO in the first half. Against USD, Adamson scored 12 points in the first half, but it was her 2 free throws with 8 seconds left that broke a 64-64 tie and preserved the win.
Kimbrough, a sophomore forward from Greenbush, Minn., averaged 19.0 points and 16.5 rebounds while posting a pair of double-doubles in wins over St. Cloud State and Minnesota State.
Kimbrough shot 55.2 percent (16x29) from the floor and 85.7 percent (6x7) from the free throw line.
