Offense - Casey Bigsby

Casey Bigsby of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the North Central Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Bigsby, a junior forward from Omaha, Neb., had both game-winning goals over the weekend as UNO knocked off defending NCAA DII champion Metro State and South Dakota by identical 2-0 scores. Bigsby tallied five shots in the two games.

Others nominated: Marti Klinsing, Minnesota State; Lindsey Sather, St. Cloud State; Kelly DuChene, Minnesota Duluth.

Defense - Ellen Petersen

Ellen Petersen of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the North Central Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Petersen, a senior goalkeeper from Omaha, Neb., didn't allow a goal while stopping five shots against defending NCAA DII champion Metro State and South Dakota.

Others nominated: Briana Francisco, Minnesota Duluth; Amy Lindstrom, St. Cloud State; Kelly Sadler, Minnesota State.
