Hurtado and Wetering Named Cross Country Athletes of the Week
Tianna Hurtado and Tyler Wetering of South Dakota have been named the North Central Conference Cross Country Athletes of the Week by the conference office.
Hurtado, a freshman from Loveland, Colo., was the top NCAA Division II finisher at the Iowa State Open with a time of 19:16.6 over the 5-kilometer course. She finished fourth overall behind two Iowa State and one North Dakota State runner.
Wetering, a senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., was the top NCAA Division II finisher at the Iowa State Open with an 8-kilometer time of 25:42.8. He finished eighth overall in the race behind Iowa State and unattached runners.
