Tholen, Krajsa and Atkinson Named Cross Country Athletes of the Week
Jillian Tholen of Augustana, James Krajsa of Minnesota State and Eric Atkinson of Minnesota Duluth have been named the North Central Conference Cross Country Athletes of the Week by the conference office.
Tholen, a freshman from Tracy, Minn., finished second overall and was the top finisher among attached runners at the Wayne State Pre-Region meet. She covered the 6K course in a personal-best time of 22:42 to help the Vikings claim the team title.
Krajsa, a sophomore from Moorhead, Minn., finished sixth at the South Dakota State Classic with a personal-best time of 25:18 over the 8K course. He was the top MSU finisher and led the team to a victory in a field of all NCAA Division I competition.
Atkinson, a native of Spooner, Wis., finished first our of 234 finishers at the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Invitational. He toured the 8K course in 25:32 to win his second meet of the season.
